Manual Therapy
Painful or limited mobility of muscles and joints severely restrict a person in their everyday life and well-being. The joy of activity and movement dwindles, the body becomes an obstacle! Often a vicious circle develops because discomfort leads to further tightening of the muscles or stiffening of the joint, from which a patient can no longer find his way out without external assistance.
Manual therapy according to Hock is a manual method that specifically looks for restrictions of muscular movement. Fascial trains, tendons and other connective tissue structures are also examined to identify systemic functional imbalances (pelvic misalignment, temporomandibular joint misalignments and others). Impaired muscle groups are identified and specifically treated. With finely dosed pressure on the pain receptors in the muscle attachments, a loosening and stretching of the tense parts is achieved, the joints involved can then move more freely. Patients are given tailor-made stretching exercises by the therapist to ensure the success of the treatment in the long term. Depending on the individual presentation, this therapy is supplemented with other additional techniques, for example cupping massage, lymph drainage, Gua Sha, moxibustion or meridian treatment.
